Paul Danis, Ph.D., Founder and Principal
Paul Danis founded Eastwoods Consulting to guide life science companies
as they develop and bring new products to the market . He has spent 20
years developing and commercializing technology in the life science and
instrumentation marketplace, working with emerging as well as established
technologies. Prior to founding Eastwoods Consulting, he was Director at
Applied Biosystems, responsible for strategic direction and operation of the
Proteomics Systems business. During his time at Applied Biosystems he
advanced the business to a leadership position in the $20B life science
marketplace. As Senior Manager of the instrumentation products at
Perseptive Biosystems he brought several novel application platforms to the
market, fueling the growth of the company.
Additionally Dr. Danis has extensive research experience from his role as
Group Leader at Rohm and Haas Research Laboratories, as Post-doctoral
Fellow at the University of Basel, and as Research Associate at Oak Ridge
National Labs. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Society of
Professional Consultants, and is the Vice-Chair of Programs for the WPI
Venture Forum. Dr. Danis has a Ph.D. from Cornell University in Analytical
and Physical Chemistry and has published over 25 scientific papers. When
not helping clients grow their businesses, he can be found enjoying the
outdoors of New England
